Real Estate Agent Janet Sheard in White Rock BC Condo Living Room

Community is  at the heart of everything I do.

I truly believe in the power of community and giving back. When I’m not helping my clients buy or sell their home, I participate in a number of community initiatives. I care about uplifting all members of the community and supporting those in need.

Here are some initiatives I’m proud to be a part of.

I’m passionate about community engagement, safety, and development. I am the current President of the Panorama Neighbourhood Association, and have been proud to support numerous community events and initiatives over the years. I have also participated in quite a few Sullivan neighbourhood clean-ups and enjoy contributing to the well-being of my community.

Picnic in the Park is a family-friendly gathering that takes place annually in Panorama Village Park. This event is a great way to mingle with the neighbours and to celebrate the amazing features of our community—including live music, local business booths, food trucks, and fun activities for kids. I’ve been fortunate to help coordinate quite a few of these gatherings over the years.

I’m a big believer in supporting small and local businesses. I recently created a Facebook group for local artisans and small businesses to promote themselves among other like-minded enthusiasts. I like to purchase some of these items to feature in my staging designs. We’re now in the process of building a website and directory so that even more people can see the great work being done by artisans, small businesses, and service providers in our community!

Giving back is important to me, and the REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive is a cause that’s near and dear to my heart. It’s all about helping those in need in our communities

I often provide gift baskets and sponsorship to numerous local events and initiatives throughout the year. I use my annual “Christmas Countdown” to highlight fabulous local businesses and makers in our community. You’ll often find me at one of Sullivan Panorama’s numerous craft fairs, greeting people at the door and handing out shopping bags.

I’m all about business, but I like to have fun, too! I’m known to go all-out for Halloween by decorating my porch according to a theme, and nothing delights me more than seeing those excited faces year after year. It’s even more special when these kids grow up, have kids of their own, and bring their little ones trick or treating at my house!
